His Majesty King Abdullah on Thursday directed concerned authorities to extend JD500,000 to 81 societies providing care for 7,810 persons with disabilities (PWD) on the occasion of his birthday.

Consistent with the King's initiative, the Ministry of Social Development, on its part, decided to allocate JD117,000 to these societies, according to a ministry statement.
